ABOUT US
OUR MISSION
The John Glenn Squadron encourages the relationship between Marine Corps aviation, the Naval Aviation Acquisition and Test communities, our industry partners, and the local community. Founded in 2005, The John Glenn Squadron recognizes excellence in Marine Corps Aviation Acquisition and Test communities through our Test Pilot/NFO, Acquisiton Officer, and Acquisition SNCO-of-the-Year Awards. We reward high caliber Southern Maryland Tri-County area high school seniors who plan to pursue science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM)-based degrees with merit-based college scholarships. We provide venues, such as our Spring and Fall Mixers and Aviation Issues Flag Officer Panel, where our membership can meet and engage with stakeholders, decision makers, and leaders in Marine Corps aviation.
ACTIVE ENGAGEMENT
To promote and recognize professional excellence in Marine Corps aviation, support the fraternal bond of its membership, preserve Marine Corps aviation heritage, and safeguard the future of Marine Corps aviation through awards programs, events, and publications.
